Level 2 of Melbourne’s GPO Building on the corner of Elizabeth and Bourke Streets is National Heritage Listed Building. Modra Hayes collaborated with Belgian Architect, Danny Venlet to design and construct bars in both the Lexington Bar and the venue’s nightclub The Music Room. The bars were built at the Modra Hayes factory site in Warooka on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia. These pieces were then dismantled and reassembled on site, and are example of the versatility of composite as a construction material.
